Ok, I installed the v1.6 module with no errors.  When I put the module onto the page maps are not displayed.  I would love to be able and read documentation about the installation or even something that says load and go.

The only error I get is "MapLoader" is undefined.

Looking at the previous post it would appear InspectorIT staff will not reply to this post, so has anyone seen this problem let me know.

thanks

brad

Mayh7,

The module does not require full-trust.

Also, could you please tell us whether you have any other modules on the same page?
Sometimes, other modules include javascript that *can* interfere with the map's javascript (from MS).

Let us know.

Thanks.

the map is the only module on the page, but I have added a dll that is used to mask email addresses on the site.  There is a good chance that it uses js to cloak the email addresses. In addition not sure if the skin i'm using uses js.

So i'm assuming it should display maps!!  Now that I know that I can try and change the way the email cloaking works.

thats a start thanks

Well, I tried removing the entry and set the skin back to dnn basic with the same result.

There is a total of three errors:

1) Line: 543 Char: 55 Error: Expected ';'

2) Line: 112 Char: 3 Error: Object Expected

3) Line: 9 Char: 261 Error: MapLoaded is undefined

Again that is the only module on the page.

Could you please confirm that you have donwloaded version 1.6?
Also, please tell us your version of DNN and browser/os combination you are using.

Thanks.

Here is the last entry in the change log that came with the module:

01.60.00
----------
1. Fixed Point list window opened in Firefox even if setting was turned off.
2. Modified "cancel" link in Manage Point List page to "Return to Main View"
3. Removed Inspector IT copyright notice below the map
4. Minor HTML fixes in the VirtualEarth.ascx
5. Clean up of Module.css
6. Fixed issues found in Point List window that sometimes caused the window not to load with the proper design theme.
7. Fixed CSS issue that caused the DNN skin to reset its position to top-left:0 in Firefox

I'm using ie7 on xp

Everything seems in order. No one else has reported this issue and I cannot replicate it.
I have installed the module on a vanilla version of DNN 4.8.2 and I cannot reproduce your issue.

Do you have this site publicly available so I can take a look?

ok - I believe I found the problem.

There is a little javascript that builds the Email Subject Line used when sharing the map.
The email subject line is constructed using your Site's Title. In your case, the site's title includes an apostrophy, which is causing a javascript error (OUR FAULT - NOT YOURS).

As a temporary solution, could you remove the apostrophy from your site's title and see if that fixes it?

Thanks.

Not a problem, and it's "man"... :-)

PS: I hope you can now reconsider your review on Snowcovered  ;-)
